TRADITIONAL SPORTS

 

Sports such as baseball, badminton, tennis and soccer are popular in Japan, but he is better known for more traditional sports such as Judo, Karate and Sumo.

SUMO:

 

Sumo is linked to Japanese culture, has a history of more than 1500 years. He is currently a professional sport, this ritual is practiced to purify your body and soul. In addition to being a professional sport makes part of customs and as a method of distraction. Tournaments are made every two months in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

 

 

 

KARATE:

 

It is one of the most famous martial arts in the world. It was developed and refined in China in the 14th century, later was extended to the regions of their characteristics. Karate 'empty hand' means, is a combat without weapons with a variety of punches and blocks using fists, feet, legs and arms.

 

 

 

JUDO:

 

Judo is the sport's most successful and has spread all over the world. It is characterized by speed, skill and use of force who face.

 

Judo is practiced for fun and professionally.Judo means 'gentle way' and was created by Jigoro Kano in 1882, when he was 14 years old, he studied with two teachers before creating his own school in Tokyo.
